Olari parish (Espoo) and St. Matthew’s International Lutheran Church (Helsinki) together organize an English Confirmation School in Velskola.

Price 180 €
The fee includes teaching, study materials, insurance, transportation, and full boarding at the camp centre. • 25.3.2026 First meeting ONLINE (trainees and parents) at 18 both parents and trainees; general information on the confirmation school at 19 trainees only
• 29.3.2026 Worship Service in St. Matthew’s International Lutheran ChurchLinkki avautuu uudessa välilehdessä (link), Helsinki. At 12.30 we will meet in Matteuksenkirkko, Turunlinnantie 3, Helsinki (near Itäkeskus metro station), at 14 mass, same location

• 17.5.2026 Global Church Worship Service at the World Village FestivalLinkki avautuu uudessa välilehdessä, Helsinki, at 10.30 we will meet in Kamppi, where the World Village Festival (Maailma kylässä -festivaali) takes place, more info later.
• 24.7.2026 Orientation to camp life in Olari Church, Espoo, at 14 we will meet in Olari church (Rälssitilankuja 1, Espoo)
• 27.7. – 3.8.2026 Camp in Velskola, more info later
• Bus timetable: Departure (27.7.) at Olari Church 11.15, return (3.8.) to Olari church approximately 12.15.
• 7.8.2026 Confirmation rehearsal and photos at 16.30 in Olari church
• 8.8.2026 Confirmation at 14 Confirmation Mass in Olari church. Welcome family, godparents and friends! Please, reserve time until 16 for the mass & giving out the certificates etc. when/if planning to have a party afterwards

We will meet in many different locations. Please, always double check the place and address of the meeting!

Every meeting is a very important part of the whole confirmation school process. If you cannot attend, please let us know well in advance. You will be given substitutive assignments to do. In addition to these meetings, there will be some written assignments for everyone. If you are living outside Finland, and therefore, will naturally be unable to attend to our meetings during the spring, we have an alternative program for you. Please let Pastor Anna know if you need it, as soon as possible.
