The six Evangelical Lutheran parishes of Espoo offer worship, church ceremonies, family clubs, Sunday school, confirmation classes for youth and adults, summer camps, and various other activities in English and other languages. We seek to provide pastoral care and counselling for individuals and families. In hospitals, our chaplains are there to serve patients, relatives and staff.

Activities and support for ukrainians who live in Espoo

Throughout Finland, road churches welcome visitors during the summer months. Road churches and their well-cultivated environment open up a window to history, architecture and culture. Projects have been shortlisted for the Finlandia Prize for Architecture 2024. The shortlistees are Hyytiälä Forest Station in Juupajoki, Lamminrahka School in Kangasala, Lastu campus building in Järvenpää, Tammela Stadium in Tampere and the Tapiola Church refurbishment in Tapiola.
Kellonummi cemetery of Espoon seurakunnat (Espoo parishes) has won the prestigious Green Flag Award for 2024 and 2025. Receiving the award for the third time, Kellonummi cemetery convinced the judges with its dignified appearance and impeccable maintenance.
To mark the anniversary, an apple tree will be planted in each parish. On Sunday 1 September, Espoo's parishes will organise a mass celebrating creation, a visitor from the Myanmar Evangelical Lutheran Church will arrive to visit Matinkappeli chapel, and international dances will be danced at Karakappeli chapel. An evening concert at Olari Church will feature lied for the benefit of Ukrainian schoolchildren.
