Concerts & music

Churches and chapels are excellent venues for concerts, from intimate chamber music to large productions for choir and orchestra. Espoo Lutheran parishes organise many concerts throughout the year, especially before Christmas and during Holy Week. Other organisations can also rent our venues for their concerts. 

Each parish has one or more church choirs with unique styles and repertoire. They enrich our worship services and give concerts. To join a choir, contact our cantors to find the right one for you. 

Urkuyö ja aaria (‘Organ night and aria’) is a widely esteemed annual summer music festival organised by the Lutheran Church in Espoo. It features concerts in Espoo Cathedral and the Espoo Cultural Centre. For more information, visit the website.

Church venues also host small exhibitions, often featuring local artists or church-related themes.
