Events and Activities at Espoo International Lutheran Church Summer 2026


In the summer time, our international activities slow down. But there are still a few to join in! In the autumn and apring time there are a lot more activities, so be on the lookout for those.

Worship Services 

Our International Sunday Worship Services continue on 30 August. If you wish to attend an international Sunday Service before then, there are Worship Services in Vantaa and in Helsinki. 

Events in the Summer Time

Here are listed some events you can join in Espoo this summer! Click the link for more information. (updated 23 June, 2026) 

Family Summer Café at Chapple on weekdays during the summer from 9:30 AM to 12 noon, the playroom is open for families at Chapple. We warmly welcome children below school age together with their parents, grandparents, babysitters, or another familiar adult. At the Family Café, children can play while adults can relax, chat, and share thoughts with one another. Please note that this is not a childcare service. A microwave is available for heating food. Coffee and tea are provided for free. 




Summer Café at Chapple Chapple is open on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 9 AM to 4 PM. In the afternoons, a small play area in the hall is available for children. You can come to have a break during your day, spend time playing games like pool or chat with your friends. Coffee and tea provided, they are served with a voluntary fee  for Finn Church Aid. Chapple is closed during week 31 (July 27 – August 3). 

Chapple you find in Iso Omena Shopping centre, 2nd floor, next to Nordea, above Mc Donalds. Address:  Suomenlahdentie 1, Metro station: Matinkylä. 

Cafe Suvela at Suvela Chapel, in June Mondays and Thursdays from 1 PM to 3 PM. Coffee, tea, some sweet and savoury snacks. Price: 1,50 €, payment by cash only. 

Urkuyö and Aaria Music Festival - 13 concerts throughout the Summer at Olari Church and Tapiola Church. 

Summer Concerts in Espoo - through the link you find information about our Summer Concerts - there are over 30 concerts at Espoo churches and chapels. Most of the concerts have free admission.  The webpage and information is in Finnish.

Kielikahvila at Suvela - The Finnish language Cafe club

Every Tuesday at 10-11.30, 
Every Wednesday at 18-19, 
at Suvela Chapel, Kirstintie 24, Espoo.

Learn Finnish at Chapple

Finnish discussion groups at Chapple, in Finnish, on Mondays and Fridays from 2 PM to 3 PM. On Midsummer week, the group meets on a Thursday.
