Cemeteries
The cemeteries of the Espoo Parish Union are open to the public from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. from the beginning of May until the end of August. During other times of the year, they are open during daylight hours. On special holidays, such as All Saints' Day, Christmas, New Year's Day and their eves, and from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday, the cemeteries remain open to the public 24 hours a day.
The Espoo Parish Union has five cemeteries:
- Church Cemetery: Located around Espoo Cathedral. New burials are only available in the anonymous area of the memorial grove. (Address: Kirkonmäentie 1, 02770 Espoo)
- Chapel Cemetery: Situated next to Espoo Funeral Chapel. Offers new coffin and urn burials (availability varies), a scattering area, and dedicated sections for coffin and urn burials for Espoo's war veterans. (Address: Pappilantie 12, 02770 Espoo)
- Kellonummi Cemetery: Next to Kellonummi Chapel. New coffin and urn burials, a children's memorial grove, and an anonymous coffin and urn memorial grove are available. There is also a non-denominational section with coffin and urn burials, a memorial grove, and an anonymous scattering area. New coffin burial plots are granted only to deceased residents of Espoo. - Gräsa Urn Cemetery: Located next to Olari Church. Offers new urn burials, a columbarium, a memorial grove, and a scattering area. (Address: Rälssitilankuja 1, 02200 Espoo)
- Tapiola Urn Cemetery: Situated next to Tapiola Church. Offers new urn burials, a columbarium, and a memorial grove. (Address: Kirkkopolku 4, 02100 Espoo)
