Using the E-services (Online)
It is easy to make reservations or register for an event through our E-services. Through this service, you can:
- reserve a baptism
- reserve an appointment with a deacon, family counsellor, special diakonia service, or student chaplain.
- register for a church event requiring sign-ups and related payments.
Secure Login
For security reasons, you must complete a' strong identification' process the first time you log in to the online service. This is done via Suomi.fiThe link opens in a new tab, a secure identification system used across public administration services. Users are required to verify their identity using online banking credentials, mobile certificates, or a smart card. Once your identity is confirmed, using the online services is safe.
How to proceed:
You can access the online service either by clicking the registration link for a specific event or by selecting the ‘Online Services’ (Sähköinen asiointi) link, which you can find either at the top of the webpage or in the grey bar at the bottom.
If you access the service via an event registration link, you’ll be taken directly to the sign-up page for that event after logging in. However, if you are not registering for an event but wish to check your details or make payments, click the ‘Online Services’ icon instead.
Username and Password
Click on ‘Registration’. Read the instructions carefully, then click on ‘Log in’. In the window that opens, select ‘No account yet? Register here’. You will be asked to identify yourself using online banking credentials, mobile certificates, or a smart card. Fill in and check the required fields. Create your username and password. Your password must contain at least three different types of characters (lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, or special characters). Remember to save your information. In the future, log in using your chosen username and password, so remember them or write them down and keep them in a safe place. Anyone with the necessary identification tools, including minors, can create a user account. However, it is recommended that parents handle registration on their children's behalf by logging in and completing the form.
If you forget your username or password, you can reset them by clicking ‘Forgot my username or password?’ in the online service.
Online Service Functions
The online service lets you update your contact details, view, edit, or cancel event registrations (when the edit/cancel buttons are active), pay invoices, and check paid bills. Please note that registrations are visible only to the person logged in when the registration was made.
Event Registration
Carefully consider who will complete the registration, particularly when signing up a minor. The person completing the registration will automatically be assigned the role of payer. At present, transferring the payment responsibility to another individual is impossible.
Fill out the registration form carefully. All fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory. Make sure to select the correct role for the registration. A confirmation email will be sent to the person who made the registration (the one logged into the online service).
Online Payments
The person completing the registration will automatically be assigned as the payer for the event. If the registered person is a minor, the first guardian listed on the registration form will be the payer. For family registrations, the main registrant (adult) will be assigned as the payer, even if other adults are listed on the form. A notification will be sent to the payer’s email and mobile phone.
Direct Payment
Some church events require immediate payment to confirm your spot. You will have one hour to complete the payment, after which the spot will be made available to others if the payment is not received. Such direct-payment events will clearly state that participation requires immediate payment.
If you do not have online banking credentials or wish to apply for a fee waiver
If you do not have online banking credentials, a mobile certificate, or a smart card, or wish to apply for an exemption from the participation fee, please contact the event organiser.
