The Lutheran Church in Espoo invites people to connect with God and encourages them to care for their neighbours and creation.

Grace is God’s love, the full and unconditional acceptance of individuals, and the forgiveness of sins. Grace is also manifested as compassion between people. - Justice
Christian justice involves sharing what we have and caring for our neighbours and the environment. The church advocates for the weak. - Participation
The Church in Espoo provides a welcoming and inclusive community locally and globally.

Principles for Safer Space in the Espoo Parishes
We meet everyone with openness and without prejudice.
We value each individual and their unique background.
We respect different ways of believing and various worldviews.
We respect each person's right to express themselves, or to remain silent.
We use language that fosters a sense of safety.
We avoid offensive expressions.
We do not discriminate against anyone, nor do we accept spiritual abuse.
If discrimination or spiritual abuse occurs, we will address it.
The principles for safer space were discussed by the Vicars of the Espoo Evangelical Lutheran Parishes in their meeting on 3 June 2024, and it was agreed that the principles will be implemented throughout the Espoo Parishes.
he Joint Cooperation Committee of the Espoo Parish Union approved the principles in its meeting on September 9, 2024.
These principles serve as the common and general guidelines for both the Espoo Evangelical Lutheran Parishes and the Espoo Parish Union Office. Additional principles may be added as needed for specific events or areas of work.
