November is filled with vibrant concerts at the Espoo Churches, featuring a variety of classical performances. The month kicks off on All Saints’ Day, November 1st and 2nd, with a diverse selection of concerts.
You can also expect to hear masterpieces by Verdi, Beethoven, and Mozart throughout the month. Specifically for All Saints’ Day, enjoy a selection of Mozart's Requiem, Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, Saint-Saëns' Requiem, and Rachmaninoff's Vigil.

The Music by Candlelight concert series will feature Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem at Leppävaara Church on November 5th. Admission is free.

On 23rd of November there is a possibility for an unforgettable musical journey as Giuseppe Verdi's powerful Requiem fills the hall. The Espoo Symphony, conducted by Jackie Shin, presents one of the most magnificent works of choral music, described as 'Verdi's best opera,' in collaboration with the Navichorus Chamber Choir, the Olari Chamber Choir, and soloists. This emotional masterpiece delves deep into themes of humanity and fate, leaving a lasting mark on the heart. Also on Saturday, November 23rd, at 5 pm in the Espoo Tuomiokirkko, the "Spiegel im Spiegel" concert features cellist Ilkka Saarikivi and pianist Juuso Vanonen. The program includes works by Sibelius, Fauré, Bach, Pärt, Rautavaara, Vanonen, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, and Saint-Saëns. Admission is free.
On November 26th at 7 pm in Leppävaara Church, the Music in Candlelight series presents "Voices of Winter – Voci d’inverno," featuring soprano Pia Freund, harpsichordist Marianna Henriksson, and Markku Luolajan-Mikkola on viola da gamba. Attendance is free, with a program fee of €10.
On Friday, November 29th, at 6 pm in the Espoonlahti Church, explore Finnish chamber music with performances of works by Jean Sibelius, Lovisa Piano Trio, and Helvi Leiviskä's Piano Quartet. Admission is €10 at the door. Performers include Martin Malmgren (piano), Zoltan Takacs (violin), Erkki Palola (viola), and Lauri Rantamoijanen (cello).
