Our activities and events are held in at least two languages, English and Finnish, for example on four Sundays of each month there is the Sunday Worship Service carrying the name Espoo International Lutheran Worship (EILW). We also have activities in other languages, such as Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Urdu, Swahili, and Khmer, to name a few.

Along with Sunday Worship Services you can find in the programme activities such as Language cafés (to learn Finnish), Bible study groups, an International Living Room at Tapiola Church, a Community Lunch at Olari Church, Multicultural Family Evenings at Kauklahti Chapel, and a weekday Family Café at Chapple. A new addition is an English-language music playgroup (for ages 0–3) for children and their parents at Suvela Chapel.

Highlights for the Autumn Season:
 

Music Playgroup in English

(for multicultural families with 0–3-year-olds).  Starting 20 August at Suvela Chapel. Contact Hanna Torhamo, phone number: 040 582 6363, for more details.Attending Finnish-language music playgroups is also a great way to learn Finnish.

Espoo International Lutheran Worship (bilingual services)

The autumn season starts on 7 September at Matinkappeli (Liisankuja 3) at 5 PM. 
On 14 September, in Suvela Chapel along in the Worship Service is the Jakaranda Choir. Worship Service is followed by coffee and stories about their summer tour in Africa.

Multicultural Family Evenings

Kauklahti Chapel, every other Monday starting 1 September.

International Living Room

At Tapiola Church on Wednesdays at 7 PM.

Multicultural Family Club

Starting 22 August, Fridays at Kivenkolo (Merisaapas 1A). Open to all families, regardless of language or cultural background. You’re welcome even if you don’t speak Finnish yet – what matters is being together and learning from each other.

Finland–Syria Evening

Friday 12 September, 6 PM to 8 PM at Tapiola Church. Discover Syrian culture and learn about the Arabic-speaking parish in Finland. Includes music, a cultural presentation, and Syrian delicacies.
